Thanksgiving Tips

Leave Early:

Traffic will be outrageous.
Leave the day before if possible.
Head home at a respectable hour.
Keep the boozing and cruising off the agenda.

Etiquette:

In case you have no idea.
As an adult it is almost expected that you bring something. Pie or pastry is your best bet.
Be polite and do not cause any unwanted drama.

Be Helpful:

Clean the table.
Do the dishes.
Don’t forget to say please and thank you!

Finally, don’t consume your body weight in booze. Leave the extracurriculars back in the dorm rooms.

Keep it interesting, be polite and stay safe!

Friends, Family & the Holidays

The Holidays:

Let’s face it. The holidays are stressful. Many of us will be traveling for half of it. Most of us will be with our families which is a blast but can be frustrating too.

Family:

There is almost always a fight at my holiday celebrations. Family doesn't always get along, peacefully anyways. Tensions run hot in the kitchen. Best advice is to let them blow off steam. Stick to cooking and cleaning. Remember, it’s only 1 week out of the year!

Friends:

Friends typically roll through your house at one point or another. It’s always a good idea to sneak away while no one is looking. Take a trip to the store, play pond hockey, take a walk through the woods. Anything to escape for a while.

Staying Warm in the Winter

Staying Warm in the Winter

Dressing cute is NOT more important than being warm.

We have all seen that clown on campus or in the workplace with a short sleeve shirt in freezing temperatures.

Don’t be that guy.

Wear a coat, hat and gloves.

I promise you ladies, it is much sexier to be warm and not sick than to be in a belly shirt. You see the women outside of bars practically naked in subzero temperatures... And men in thin dress shirts. Pneumonia is cool too .. psych.

Scarfs seem to be in fashion again, wear them.

We are a developed society, let’s not head in the opposite direction. Prevent illness and pure stupidity.

Wear your gear and go explore the world. Leave the fashion magazines and be a normal person.
